France
never ceases to amaze, with its ultra-modern
cities and quaint towns and beautiful landscapes.
There’s something for everyone here, form
sunny beaches to state-of-the-art laboratories
and research centers. The cities have a charm
of their own with wonderful dining facilities
coupled with magnificent landscapes. Perhaps
the most popular of all cities in France is
Paris, and no trip to France
would be complete without a thorough tour of
all its landmarks and sampling its fine cuisine.
Nantes and Bordeaux
are two of the biggest cities in France. Bordeaux
is probably best known for its wines and 18th
centaury architecture. In Nantes the famous
opera house, the Pays-de-Loire National Philharmonic
Orchestra and the Loire-Atlantique cultural
center may be found. In the east the cities
of Besançon Metz,
Strasbourg, Nancy
and Dijon have some beautiful
landscapes and are located in a wine producing
region famous for its pinot noirs and chardonnays.
In the south big cities like Marseille
and Toulon are probably the
most popular. Marseille is the second biggest
city of France and has some historical monuments
like the Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, the Cathedral
Museum of the Roman Dock and the Puget sculptures
at the town hall. In the south, along the French
Riviera is Cannes, with its
beautiful beaches and exclusive restaurants,
it is a playground for the rich and famous.
It has some fine dining establishments serving
up the best of French and international cuisine.
Nice comes next on the list with its wonderful
sandy beaches and mild climate and its historic
Roman ruins.
